The city of Aichtal has taken a big step forward in providing information to its citizens with a digital signage system that works well both indoors and outdoors. The newly installed screens ensure that citizens are always centrally informed about important news, events and services.
Two 49-inch high-brightness displays with outdoor protective housings were integrated into existing street furniture directly in front of the town hall – in a location where many people pass by every day: near the mailboxes. Thanks to the seamless integration, the devices remain discreet in the cityscape, but are always clearly visible due to their location and brightness.
Thanks to their vandal-proof design and automatic brightness adjustment, the devices are ideally suited for continuous use in public spaces – even in direct sunlight or bad weather.
Inside the town hall, two additional screens ensure pleasant information delivery. Especially in the waiting area, visitors now have the opportunity to find out about current news from the city administration, opening hours, forms or upcoming events.
A special highlight: an 86-inch screen that has been beautifully integrated into the acoustic wall. The integration not only blends in perfectly with the architecture of the building, but also meets functional requirements for acoustics and visibility. Content can be displayed in an accessible way and maintained centrally, so everything is always up to date.
The project in Aichtal demonstrates once again how effectively digital signage can be used in municipal buildings and outdoor areas. The displays combine functionality with design, are robust and easy to manage – and thus create real added value for the administration and citizens alike.
